Bug?? or am I going crazy

for some reason all of my resistances are capped out at 40.

Are you at gm resist spells? if so thats why.

Yes but weather I am naked for fully suited its still 40 all resist

yeah even when your naked your at 40. if you were at 120 resist you would be all 44

but with armor it should raise to 70. shouldnt it?

Your base is still 0. your at 40 with gm resist. when armor is put on its counted like you are at 0 resist. so all armor has to add to 70 to get 70. it does not start at 40. Hope this helps!!

sorry zurn, I know how the system works. I will break it down for you.

When I had 0 resist it was at 0 AR - you are correct.

with gear on I was able to achive close to 70 all - once again correct

but

when I got to GM resist, my base resist was at 40 and by puting gear on it doesnt raise at ALL. which leads me to maybe think you were misunderstanding my case.

if this is how its "suppose to be" then why put on any armor at all if it doesnt raise passed 40.

the armor situation is fine.. the armor has to pass your base resistances (example)

you have:

45 - psy
45 - cold
45 - energy
45 - fire
45 - poison

this is you naked

now you put on armor that has +5 in each piece lets say plate set
soo you have the helm,gorget,sleeves,chest,legs

the only way your resistances will go up is if u pass your base which in this example is 45. soo the set of armor max resistances is 25 in each soo you will prob not see a diffrence in your resistances.
