It's been about 8 hours now...anyone know when then shard will be back up?

not sure. I thought it would be back up by now its morning and he is usually on at night no?

I want to say it went down around 5 last night. At first I was thinking it might be my connection, but, it seems now like it is down. There must be some sort of problem that needs to be fixed... or there was some sort of emergency that prevented the fixing last night.

well something must of happened, because I do not think he plays on the server computer and yet hes not been here. And his wife has a computer so maybe its their connection to the web that is out.

That looks to be the case. I just pinged the server and there is nothing there... no computer is responding. So, it isn't just the LOTA server that is down, must be the whole computer or connection.

I hope the backup is allright O_o

Actually, Elise's theory would seem to be a plausable one. Something happened to the connection rather than the server itself. That would prevent Mojo from reaching this forum to update everyone and prevent us from getting on the server. Plus, even if the whole thing went belly up, I am sure Mojo would take every step to restore anything that we might have lost.

I concur, The connection links are the problem. They had very bad weather in the central Atlantic region. We had the bad weather here n MI on Saturday. Have patience, it will be up and running soon I think(hope). I'm trying to get in touch with Mojo.

Ok, so, unless Mojo lives in the absolute Styx, I doubt this is a power outage. I can't see the cable or phone company taking 48 hours to restore service either. I know there was an ice storm around here last year which took 7-10 days to restore power to everyone, but, I don't think those people had high speed internet access because they are so far out. Anyway, I am starting to get a little worried, more about the family than anything.

Yeah i really hope everything in the family is okay....cause i believe that would be the only reason for this stoppage...

Mojo is not the kinda guy who would just leave everyone hanging. I am sure its either power or connection. I remember last year a power outage here and everything was down for over 2 weeks in some areas. Depends on where they are and how much help. Even if it was a home situation i am sure he would have found a way like a library to let us know if it had been possible.
